Polyphenylene  is a linear hydrocarbon polymer, expressed as CnH2n. PP, like polyethylene (see HDPE, L/LLDPE) and polybutene (PB), is a polyolefin or saturated polymer. Polypropylene is one of those most versatile polymers available with applications, both as a plastic and as a fibre, in virtually all of the plastics end-use markets.

High Density Polyethylene  has minimal branching of its polymer chains which has a density of 0.940 g/cm3.  It is used for making packaging such as household products, bottles medicine containers, shoes, cable line, handle bags, garbage bags, tube, auto parts, and electrical parts.

Linear Low Density Polyethylene   has a significant number of short branches. Because it has shorter and more branches its chains are able slide against each other upon elongation without becoming entangled like LPDE which has long branching chains that would get caught on each other. This gives LLDPE higher tensile strength and higher impact and puncture resistance than the LDPE. It has a density of 0.91-0.94g/cm3.

The applications for LLDPE are such as shrink film, streth film, wires, cables, and toys.

Low Density Polyethylene is PE with a density of 0.910-0.925 g / cm3, used to produce a range of general-purpose and high-performance applications, which include blown and cast film, extrusion and coating, and rotational and injection molding. They also use for making zipper bags, agricultural films, home appliances, toys, saline bottles, tubes, toothpaste, shoes, wrapping films. Tight (Shrink Film) and make a coating material.

Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene   is used to make electrical equipment, auto parts, helmet, blood filters, sports equipment, gas pipelines, telephone machines, and computer keyboard.

General Purpose Polystyrene. The properties are brittle, rigid, transparent, low shrinkage, low cost, excellent X-ray resistance, free from odor and taste, easy to process. For the applications, it has use to make variety of products such as toys and novelties, rigid packaging, refrigerator trays and boxes, cosmetic packs and costume jewelry, lighting diffusers, audio cassette and CD cases.

High Impact Polystyrene   is a low cost, tough plastic that is easy to thermoform and fabricate. HIS is often used for countertop point of purchase displays and indoor signs where ease of fabrication is essential. It is suitable for making refrigerator, radio, furniture, and toys.

Styrene-acrylonitrile   is a copolymer plastic consisting of styrene and acrylonitrile. It is also known as SAN. It is widely used in place of polystyrene owing to its greater thermal resistance. It is used for making household products
